Motorcopia Analysis Confirms Optimism for September and Beyond

Optimistic Buying Conditions in Evidence as Summertime soon ends.

Welcome to this week’s Motorcopia newsletter! In addition to optimistic conditions for professionals in the collector-car market, we’ve attended several great enthusiast-type events that continue to demonstrate health at the grassroots level. So strap in and join us with this week’s analysis and commentary!

First off, we’re still actively seeking a top-quality 1983-89 Porsche 930 Turbo for a prequalified buyer. It must have under 30k kilometers (24k miles), with full factory issued books, known history, proper service with records to confirm. We know it’s out there, so comment here or below the pinned post at www.motorcopia.com and let us know what you have!

For the week of September 8 - 14, 2025, the Motorcopia Forward Market Index has issued a signal that the collector car market has entered Optimistic Buy territory, building on the activity of previous weeks. This reading indicates solid strength for collectors and portfolio managers seeking opportunities to generate positive returns. See the full article, our rationale, and commentary HERE.

While Motorcopia is mostly concerned with bringing the financial aspects of collector cars to light, we’re hard-core fans of the many custom-car styles, from traditional “lead sleds” to the latest trends. A very pleasant surprise at the July 26, 2025 stopover by the touring Driven Canadian Automotive Aftermarket Show in London, Ontario, was the considerable representation by local customizers, with cars built by local legend Ron Box and rising star Jason Handsor, whose beautiful early-1950s Chevy Sedanette was also shown among the best at the Toronto Motorama this past March. We hope that this nationwide touring show returns to London for 2026! Enjoy the photo galleries HERE.

Back to Business! Check out the predictions HERE in the Motorcopia Forward Market Index for the week of September 1 - 7, 2025, followed by the look back on that week with the Motorcopia Market Pulse HERE. A concise report comparing and contrasting the two models is HERE, confirming the Motorcopia logic.

Ongoing and intensifying macro data concerning the global economies, intensified military action, consequent effects on shipping, and frothy stock markets are being watched closely, prompting us to adjust our weighting slightly for several scoring categories in our proprietary models. Stay tuned!

All the best for the encouraging week ahead. Many high-end auctions are coming from next week through December and we will be watching and commenting on the action. Be sure to get out with that special car and your significant other while summer continues!
